Client: Anderson Strathern

Results and Impacts

We handled a major relaunch for Anderson Strathern- with new branding across 12 specialist services – winning a Scottish Marketing Award for Internal Communications and repositioning the company as a market leader. When Anderson Strathern came to us they were one of the top 10 law firms in Scotland, on the brink of the Top 100 in the UK. A full service firm, they provide advice across all legal areas, with exception of criminal law. Described by the Chambers Directory 2002 as “a nimble giant of a firm”, Anderson Strathern’s corporate identity was nevertheless slightly dated, and a new identity was needed.

The Challenge and Objectives

We were tasked to come up with a new corporate identity which would be used as an umbrella to market ‘Anderson Strathern the Solicitors’. An adaptable style was needed to enable marketing of the different individual services. Differentiation between service areas was important, as was conforming to their established house style and values. The main objective was to reaffirm AS’s position in the public consciousness by creating a clear, connected corporate identity and style.

Our strategy

We created a clear, contemporary style that reflected the principles of the company whilst also moving it into the 21st Century. The logo was redesigned, and a consistent look and feel was applied across all materials, including their website. This strengthened the core values of Anderson Strathern and helped them re-establish themselves in a modern market. We also brought clarity to the benefits and individual services they offer, creating materials that were accessible and user-friendly.
